Trek to Fight Blindness
RP Fighting Blindness has organised one previous, very successful overseas challenge (to the Sahara Desert) and also worked with Fighting Blindness Ireland on a recent trek to Everest Base Camp.
We are now inviting participation on our 2010 and 2011 expeditions to Namibia and Iceland.
These two are extreme, but they have lots in common - stunning scenery; the personal challenge; exciting terrain and environment; amazing wildlife; adventure and escape.
Namibia is special because whilst we are there we will be taking four days to base ourselves in a school in a small village and build a new playground.
Iceland is special because of the unique environment full of smells and sounds, and 24 hours of sun each day, making it a fantastic experience for people with visual impairment and fully sighted alike.
