Outreach Officer Joins RP Fighting Blindness

Following a successful bid for a year's funding from the John Ellerman Foundation, RP Fighting Blindness is delighted to announce the appointment of Sue Drew as our new Outreach Officer. Sue joins us at a time when it has never been more important to reach out to the thousands of families across the UK who have RP.
Sue will take up her new post towards the end of June. She will consolidate our efforts to make sure our information services are accessible to anyone newly diagnosed with RP and also to reach out to Asian families with RP. The kind donation from the John Ellerman Foundation will also allow us to run events in several cities and to support the continuing work of our branches offering support to people facing the trauma of potential sight loss.
Sue has been involved in a voluntary capacity with the charity's Cambridge branch for several years, and has a son Graham with RP, so she has a good understanding of our work even before starting in her new post.
